“Ants”

image

You come across a trail of ants somewhere in your house that wasn’t there yesterday!
What is your first reaction? ‘Really?! Now where did they come from?’
You don’t waste any time getting rid of them, especially since you want to stop them from invading the rest of your space!
You can get rid of the ants, but, if you don’t find the source and get rid of the source, those ants will just come back and….bring more along with them!

In the same way things in your life can surface, which you are sure were not there yesterday…but probably it’s been there for quite some time, just hidden.
Things which are not good for you, which you do not like, and which are not of a Godly character – for instance reactions, feelings, emotions, thoughts, attitudes, or whatever else it may be.
You can try to get rid of these things or “ants” – maybe by avoiding certain situations (or people…), maybe even by setting your mind to change it.  BUT….there is a source/root behind these things that need to be found, dealt with, and uprooted. If you don’t go after the source/root of these reactions, feelings, emotions, attitudes, etc, they will just keep coming back, re-surfacing, and will never change!

Deal with and get rid of the “ants” in your life for good, that you may be all God has created you and intended you to be, for His purpose and plan.

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Colossians 3:1-2 ESV

Then he said to me, “……Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
Zechariah 4:6 ESV

God bless!
